Overview
What It Does
EOSYN Orbit is the access layer of the EOSYN Orbital Operating Stack. It sources and orchestrates multi-constellation Earth observation data — optical, radar (SAR), hyperspectral, and aerial — through capital-light agreements with data providers. Rather than building, launching, and maintaining proprietary satellites (a capex-intensive model), Orbit negotiates strategic access to the best available data for any given mission, region, or temporal window.
Orbit maintains a Source Registry — a curated catalog of data sources with metadata on resolution, revisit frequency, spectral bands, latency, and cost. This registry allows the platform to dynamically select the optimal data source for any query based on the client's requirements: a flood risk assessment in Southeast Asia may use Sentinel-1 SAR (cloud-penetrating), while a vegetation stress analysis in Southern Europe may use Sentinel-2 optical (higher spectral resolution).
All data access is SLA-backed with guaranteed availability and latency. Orbit supports both API-driven real-time access and batch pipeline ingestion for historical analysis. The capital-light model means EOSYN Space scales data access without the multi-billion-dollar capital expenditure of satellite construction and launch — passing the cost advantage to institutional clients.
